Lesley is a relentless advocate for healthcare, affordability, environmental sustainability, and human rights in Edmonton Manning. She led a grassroots campaign that sent over 50,000 letters to the UCP government, forcing a reversal of a decision that threatened the health of thousands of Albertans with Type 1 diabetes. This campaign highlighted her commitment to healthcare access and equity.

As co-chair of the Alberta NDP Environment Caucus, she championed policies balancing economic growth with environmental protection, ensuring a sustainable future for all. She advocates for affordable housing, fair wages, and effective solutions to inflation, recognizing the critical impact these issues have on families.

Lesley is also a vocal advocate for Palestinian rights, focusing on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. She believes in standing up against oppression and genocide.
